My name is Ava Jahani and I’m an independent children’s book illustrator based in Florida! I love expressive portraits, vibrant colors, and intriguing characters. My work specializes in narrative-driven work and I take most of my inspiration from the beautiful Floridian scenery. I work with watercolors, acrylics, and oils and further refine with photo editing software if needed to give my paintings an authentic look. In addition to my established style, I have a strong passion for creating and learning new styles. I’ve been painting since I was 9 years old and I can’t imagine going a day without sketching or painting.
